Major Announcement from Adobe - Change to Creative Suite Upgrade Policy
Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 3:30PM
Adobe has announced a major change in upgrade policy for the Creative Suite software product line. When CS6 is released, only customers on CS5 or CS5.5 will be eligible to receive upgrade pricing. Customers on older versions (CS2, 3 or 4) will no longer be able to upgrade. This change provides an excellent reason to contact your customers using CS2, 3 or 4 and encourage them to upgrade while they still can (note that this policy is for Creative Suite products only, Acrobat products will still be upgradeable from 3 versions back).
20% Off Creative Suite Upgrades
Customers who upgrade before 15th March 2012 can also take advantage of the current CS Upgrade Promotion, offering 20% off Adobe CS Upgrades/Upsells. Read more about this promotion here.
Software Insurance
This policy change also provides a new, highly compelling reason for customers to purchase Adobe Software Insurance (previously known as Upgrade Plan/maintenance). With Software Insurance corporate and government customers gain immediate access to all qualified Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat product upgrades during the term of their policy. Software Insurance enables customers to take the guesswork out of software budgeting and potentially lower their total cost of ownership with expanded access to technical support and productivity-boosting learning resources. With online tools that are available 24x7, you can also streamline their software management process—all while maximising the overall value of their Adobe software investment.
